Tips to Create Hump Day Happiness

Ugh, the dreaded Wednesday. It seems like limbo - halfway through the week and Friday seems so out of reach. What is it about Wednesday that appears to be so hard? And why is it that each day of the week seems to carry an association with it. Think about it. Monday and Tuesday have a different feeling to them than say Thursday or Friday. To most, Thursday and Friday seem more hopeful and exciting with anticipation for the upcoming weekend.

Which makes me wonder, what if every day was magical in some way? Wouldn’t that feel like a better way to experience each day than to patiently move through each day of the week to “make it” to the weekend? Personally, I like the idea of magic. Personal magic! That feeling of being empowered to feel good about each day of the week and to have an expectation of something good happening.

There are quite a few ways to create that personal magic, and especially so to create some Hump Day Happiness. Here are a few:

  1. Write, speak, or silently in your thoughts, recite a favorite affirmation. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate. Choose an affirmation that resonates with you. Maybe select a different affirmation for each day of the week. One suggestion is to affirm one of the I AM Divine cards. Each card offers a simple, yet profound message that gently guides you to connect with the Divine.
  2. Carry a gemstone with you. Different stones are helpful for different intentions. For instance, carnelian is great for an energy boost. Citrine is a wonderful accompanying stone for manifestation. One way to power boost your energy is to have a crystal healing bag nearby. Seeing this on a daily basis helps keep your goals front and center. And, they are beautiful!
  4. Set aside some personal time for reflection. Light a candle, have one of your favorite essential oils near by and just be. Be with yourself. Listen to your intuition and see what it has to say about creating happiness in your day. 
  5. Journal your thoughts, ideas, desires, challenges, and get it all out! That's right! Be generous in your writing and expression of all you are experiencing each day. By giving yourself a safe outlet to express, you gift yourself with emotional freedom to move through feelings and not be stuck in them. This allows for more happiness each day!
Wednsday’s no longer have to be the dreaded hump day. In fact, no day needs to be that. With some curiosity, powerful intent, and new habits, each day can be experienced to its fullest! Happy Hump Day to you!
