Privacy is a form of self-care. Setting boundaries helps to support getting the support we need from ourselves. Yet, more often than not, personal boundaries for time, space, time alone, or time with others is not honored. Either we cave into other's needs out of guilt or we put other's needs ahead of our own. In the end, that doesn't work for either party.
The question is why is that happening? Is that a pattern of behavior? A program or habitual way of addressing relationship dynamics? Fortunately, new approaches and ways of being can support you honoring your needs and setting healthy and appropriate boundaries.
