A Practice in Letting Go

Sometimes when we reach for our dreams, we have to let things go. That's the nature of things. It can feel bittersweet.

One way to smooth the transition is to give a voice to what you are leaving behind. As in, take time out to connect with the thoughts and feelings you have around what is now transitioning as your past. Love it, cherish it, thank it and gracefully release it as you also welcome the new energies before you. It's okay to feel a mixture of feelings when in transition. What makes it beautiful is when you accept all aspects of the experience. It's rich and full.
